When two HTTP requests carrying the same valid OTP are submitted concurrently, both can successfully authenticate and establish a session. The root cause is that the OTP value is read from the shared store, validated, and then deleted in separate non-atomic steps, allowing a second in-flight request to read the same value before the first request's deletion takes effect.\n\nPreconditions:\n\n- The target MISP instance has email OTP login enabled.\n\n- The attacker possesses a valid, unexpired OTP (e.g., via email interception or social engineering).\n\n- The attacker can issue two HTTP POST requests in close temporal proximity.\n\nImpact:\n\n- The one-time-use guarantee of the OTP is violated; a single code can yield two authenticated sessions.\n\n- This weakens the authentication control and may facilitate unauthorized access if the OTP is shared or intercepted.\n\nAffected versions: <2.5.48","cveId":"CVE-2026-107276","cvssScore":6.3,"cvssVector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:H/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:L/SA:N/E:X/CR:X/IR:X/AR:X/MAV:X/MAC:X/MAT:X/MPR:X/MUI:X/MVC:X/MVI:X/MVA:X/MSC:X/MSI:X/MSA:X/S:X/AU:X/R:X/V:X/RE:X/U:X","severity":"medium","vendor":null,"product":null,"affectedVersions":[],"cwes":["CWE-362","CWE-367"],"tags":["nvd","status:deferred"],"relatedCves":[],"titleFingerprint":null,"countryCodes":[],"knownExploited":false,"patchAvailable":false,"patchLinks":[],"references":[{"url":"https://github.com/MISP/MISP/commit/ba95e67d5","type":"advisory","title":"5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8"}],"epssScore":0.00213,"epssPercentile":0.10634,"nucleiTemplatePath":null,"nucleiSeverity":null,"enrichment":null,"publishedAt":"2026-10-07T16:17:47.213Z","addedAt":"2026-10-07T16:39:32.766Z","updatedAt":"2026-10-07T22:39:36.401Z","epssUpdatedAt":"2026-10-08T12:00:21.000Z","nucleiUpdatedAt":null,"links":[{"label":"NVD","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-107276","note":"ingested from NVD"},{"label":"CVE Program","url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-107276","note":"authoritative record"}],"raw":{"id":"CVE-2026-107276","cveTags":[],"metrics":{"ssvcV203":[{"source":"5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8","ssvcData":{"role":"Supplier","options":[{"exploitation":"none"},{"automatable":"yes"},{"technicalImpact":"partial"}],"version":"2.0.3","timestamp":"2026-10-07T15:34:47Z"}},{"source":"134c704f-9b21-4f2e-91b3-4a467353bcc0","ssvcData":{"id":"CVE-2026-107276","role":"CISA Coordinator","options":[{"exploitation":"none"},{"automatable":"no"},{"technicalImpact":"partial"}],"version":"2.0.3","timestamp":"2026-10-07T20:28:10.510425Z"}}],"cvssMetricV40":[{"type":"Secondary","source":"5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8","cvssData":{"Safety":"NOT_DEFINED","version":"4.0","Recovery":"NOT_DEFINED","baseScore":6.3,"Automatable":"NOT_DEFINED","attackVector":"NETWORK","baseSeverity":"MEDIUM","valueDensity":"NOT_DEFINED","vectorString":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:H/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:L/SA:N/E:X/CR:X/IR:X/AR:X/MAV:X/MAC:X/MAT:X/MPR:X/MUI:X/MVC:X/MVI:X/MVA:X/MSC:X/MSI:X/MSA:X/S:X/AU:X/R:X/V:X/RE:X/U:X","exploitMaturity":"NOT_DEFINED","providerUrgency":"NOT_DEFINED","userInteraction":"NONE","attackComplexity":"HIGH","attackRequirements":"NONE","privilegesRequired":"NONE","subIntegrityImpact":"LOW","vulnIntegrityImpact":"LOW","integrityRequirement":"NOT_DEFINED","modifiedAttackVector":"NOT_DEFINED","subAvailabilityImpact":"NONE","vulnAvailabilityImpact":"NONE","availabilityRequirement":"NOT_DEFINED","modifiedUserInteraction":"NOT_DEFINED","modifiedAttackComplexity":"NOT_DEFINED","subConfidentialityImpact":"NONE","vulnConfidentialityImpact":"NONE","confidentialityRequirement":"NOT_DEFINED","modifiedAttackRequirements":"NOT_DEFINED","modifiedPrivilegesRequired":"NOT_DEFINED","modifiedSubIntegrityImpact":"NOT_DEFINED","modifiedVulnIntegrityImpact":"NOT_DEFINED","vulnerabilityResponseEffort":"NOT_DEFINED","modifiedSubAvailabilityImpact":"NOT_DEFINED","modifiedVulnAvailabilityImpact":"NOT_DEFINED","modifiedSubConfidentialityImpact":"NOT_DEFINED","modifiedVulnConfidentialityImpact":"NOT_DEFINED"}}]},"affected":[{"source":"5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8","affectedData":[{"cpes":["cpe:2.3:a:misp:misp:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*"],"repo":"https://github.com/MISP/MISP","vendor":"MISP","modules":["UsersController (email OTP login)"],"product":"MISP","versions":[{"status":"affected","version":"0","lessThan":"2.5.48","versionType":"semver"}],"programFiles":["app/Controller/UsersController.php"]}]}],"published":"2026-10-07T16:17:47.213","references":[{"url":"https://github.com/MISP/MISP/commit/ba95e67d5","source":"5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8"}],"vulnStatus":"Deferred","weaknesses":[{"type":"Secondary","source":"5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8","description":[{"lang":"en","value":"CWE-362"},{"lang":"en","value":"CWE-367"}]}],"descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"MISP contains a race condition in the email-based one-time password (OTP) login flow.
